한국은행권 액면식별 도우미 - A Useful App for Visually Impaired Individuals
The 한국은행권 액면식별 도우미 (Korean Banknote Identification Assistant) app is a collaborative effort between the Bank of Korea and the National Institute of Scientific Investigation. Its purpose is to assist visually impaired individuals in identifying banknotes, thereby improving their convenience in cash transactions.
The app offers several key features. Firstly, users can simply hold up their iPhone camera to a banknote, and the app will provide audio and vibration feedback to guide them in identifying the denomination. Additionally, the app supports the identification of banknotes from 29 different Korean banks, including currently circulating bills. It also supports the use of VoiceOver, allowing users to navigate the app's interface using audio instructions.
It is important to note that the app is designed to aid in banknote identification and does not have the capability to detect counterfeit bills. Users should also be aware that there may be limitations and the possibility of misidentification due to technical constraints. The app is provided for use at the user's own risk, and neither the Bank of Korea nor the National Institute of Scientific Investigation assume any responsibility or liability for its use.
